Natures Own is a family run business situated in the heart of North Devon. We have been trading since 1990 and have become known both for quality and consistency, enjoying a loyal following from pet owners all over the country.
Our Pledge:
Devon is a patchwork quilt of small ancient meadows This is a less efficient way of farming but provides for a better countryside for wildlife, wild flowers, herbs and of course all of us. We think this also means that the hay is unique and of unrivalled quality.
Natures Own Devon Meadow Hay is made by an ever expanding list of local farmers who provide for us every season. By paying good prices for the hay we can insist that no sprays, insecticides or weed killers are used on the land and also provide a valuable extra market for the farmers.
Our pledge is to support the small farmer and provide for the long term protection of the countryside. We also believe that the traditional way of drying hay in the sun is important and so we undertake no barn drying (the burning of fossil fuels to produce heat for artificial but very fast drying of hay).
